spin cycle

I’ve got a few down moments because someone had to come to our house and repair our almost brand new washing machine. He’s a really nice guy who’s probably in his sixties, wears cowboy boots, and hums while he works. He also smiles, winks, and points while making a clicking sound out of the side of his mouth. He seems to know what he’s doing, and he smells strongly of Old Spice…and now so does our entire house. Which is actually a bonus, since there are massive piles of dirty clothes in our home…patiently waiting for the washing machine to be repaired.

He just finished. My wife and I had a small celebration. It’s amazing how much the balance is thrown off by one small convenience being taken away. Even just for a few weeks.
